Visit Long Point Light House - at the end of Route 340 and see the Double Residence for lighthouse keepers of the past AND see the ocean beauty from the Viewing Platform developed with Federal and Provincial help in 2002. We feel it's the Best place to view the ocean in all of Newfoundland and Labrador (and indeed all the world) SIMPLY BREATHTAKING. Restoration is nearing completion of the Double Residence building and other out buildings.
Twillingate Islands Tourism Assoc. (TITA) has students have been employed under the (CSJ) Canada Summer Jobs programme, providing assistance to visitors at the Long Point Light Station Viewing Platform and hiking trails.
