How to become a member?             

 

To become a member of TITA simply join us at one of our  meetings on the first Wednesday of every month.  Membership requires that you be a resident of Twillingate Islands or own a business in the area.  For a nominal fee of $2.00 per year  for membership, $5.00 if you own a business, you can become a part of improving the overall experience of your community.

Recent News


2011  

 

Visit Long Point Light House - at the end of Route 340 and see the Double Residence for lighthouse keepers of the past AND see the ocean beauty from the Viewing Platform developed with Federal and Provincial help in 2002.  We feel it's the Best place to view the ocean in all of Newfoundland and Labrador (and indeed all the world) SIMPLY BREATHTAKING.  Restoration is nearing completion of the Double Residence building and other out buildings.

 

Twillingate Islands Tourism Assoc. (TITA) has students have been employed under the (CSJ) Canada Summer Jobs programme,  providing  assistance to visitors at the Long Point Light Station Viewing Platform and hiking trails.

 Another area, as part of the trails, in 2008, students cleaned the Spencer's Beach area for hikers.  Also students assisted the Town of Twillingate with their ' Tidy Towns ' project cleanup.
